The vertical line test states that if we can draw a vertical line that passes through 2 or more points, then the graph is not a function (if every vertical line passes through only 1 point, so the graph is a function).

We can draw a vertical line that passes through the points A and B at the same time (because they have the same x-coordinate), therefore the graph is not a function.
