Hi. To convert 10/6 into a decimal, you simply divide the bottom into the top. In this case, it would be 10 ÷ 6.

6 can go into 10 1 time and will have a remainder of 4. You bring the 4 up and place the 6 under it. This will give you the mixed number of 1 4/6 which can be reduced to 1 2/3

Well, First you want to find out how many times six can go into ten. Since its only once, you immediately get the number 1 as your whole number. Now because you've taken six out of ten you're left with 4/6. The mixed number would be 1 and 4/6 or 1 and 2/3 if you're simplifying
