Maximum weight the elevator can carry = 2100 pounds

The number of people it can carry if the average person weight is 150 pounds can be calculated below

\begin{gathered} \text{let } \\ \text{ number of person = x} \\ 150x\leq2100 \\ \text{divde both sides by 150} \\ (150x)/(150)\leq(2100)/(150) \\ x\leq14 \end{gathered}

It will definitely hold 14 people . The elevator can safely ride 14 people. The elevator cannot hold more than 14 people with an average weight of a person as 150 pounds.
