1/8 is equal is to .125 and 1/4 is equal to .25. So add up the decimal values of the fruit to get 1.625 pounds. Multiply 1.625 by .80 cents per pound and get 1.3. This means the fruits cost $1.30. Then subtract the full cost 4.05 and 1.30 to get 2.75. This means Maggie spent $2.75 on cheese
