Neither the equation nor its inverse is a function.

Only the equation is a function.

Neither the equation nor its inverse is a function.f(x) = 3.x² + 5 ↔ y = 3.x²+5
Let's find the inverse of y = 3.x²+5
x= 3.y²+5 → 3.y² = x-5 and y²= (x-5)/3 and y = √[(x-5)/3]

Hence the inverse of f(x) which is f⁻¹(x) =√[(x-5)/3] is NOT a function

Only the inverse is a function.WRONG

Only the equation is a function.RIGHT
Both the equation and its inverse are functions.WRONG
