A town has accumulated 22 inches of​ snow, and the snow depth is increasing by 66 inches every hour. A nearby town has accumulated 66 ​inches, and the depth is increasing by 33 inches every hour. In about how many hours will the snowfall of the towns be​ equal?

Create an expression. Solve for x

22+66x=66+33x
Subtract 33x from both sides
22+33x=66
Subtract 22 from both sides
33x=44
Divide both sides by 33
x=44/33=4/3 or 1.3 hours
