This equation should of be written as 460=12m+50, not 460=50+12m, but either way, 12 is the amount of something that being multiply by, or the slope, 50 is the y-intercept, and m is the thing that I mentioned earlier.

50 + 12m = 460
Subtract 50 from both sides
12m = 410
Divide 12 from both sides to isolate m
m = 34 1/6
