explain the difference between a linear equation in one variable and a linear equation in two variables. Give an example of each.

Linear in one variable: there is only one variable, it has a unique solution, power of variable is equal to one. For example 2x=20
Linear in two variables: there are two variables, it has infinitely many solution. For example a-b=20
