Take a look at the vertical grid line passing through the point (-3,0) on the x-axis, and notice where it intersects with the line shown in the image. To find the corresponding y-coordinate of that point on the line, follow the *horizontal* grid line that meets at that same intersection until you reach the y-axis. The number you see on the y axis at this point is the y coordinate you’re looking for.
