What is the effect of temperature on fish populations?

okay well the temperature will only effect some fish since most are smart enough to know to seek deeper water in the cold months. but this also means we humans and many cultures that thrive on them would have to find new ways to catch fish 100's of feet below the waters surface. the way to test this would be to go out and throw a net in different areas of a lake during the summer months when it's hot then in the winter months go back to the same exact areas and throw again and compare data. the hypothesis would be that duringing colder months fish will not be in the shallower waters that are above the goe line in cold weather.hope this helped.

If the temperature of a fish population increases then, the population of fish will increase because the fish like warmer areas to breed and lay eggs.

I'm not sure if this is correct. But always use IF THEN and BECAUSE when writing a hypothesis
