Thoreau's moral view is in favor of personal autonomy and choice and he gives primacy to these two things so that if the state, for example tries to enforce some decisions that adversely affect the individual then he insists that civil disobedience is warranted.

Thoreau's ethical read is in favor of non-public autonomy and selection and he offers importance to those 2 things in order that if the state, for instance tries to enforce some selections that adversely have an effect on the individual then he insists that direct action is secured.
