Multiplying two fractions together corresponds to multiplying together their components, so multiplying -9/10 · -2/3 looks like:

(-9)/(10) \cdot (-2)/(3)= ((-9)(-2))/((10)(3))

If we rearrange the fractions, we can perform some simplification:

((-9)(-2))/((3)(10)) = (-9)/(3) \cdot (-2)/(10) =-3\cdot (-1)/(5)

When gets us:

((-3)(-1))/(5)= (3)/(5)
