The area of a rectangle is defined to be its length times its width. What the question here is asking is: what do you have to multiply 5.25 cm by to get 44.625 cm²?

Answer: 8.25 cm

Explanation:

We know that the area of rectangle is given by :-

\text{Area}=\text{Length}*\text{Width}

Given : The length of rectangle: l= 5.25 cm

The area of rectangle:
A=44.625\ cm^2

Substitute the values of A and l in the formula given above, we get

44.625=5.25*\text{Width}

Divide 5.25 both sides , we get

\text{Width}=(44.625)/(5.25)=8.5

Hence , the other length of the rectangle have to be 8.25 cm.
