When solving the equation5/18 = 5/4x+6 algebraically, it is possible to set the denominators of the fractions equal to each other. Is it possible to do this with other similarequations which consist of a fraction equal to a fraction, where the numerators are constants and one of the denominators contains a variable?

According to the question asked, YES, it is possible just like the expression given. We can now simplify the given equaton to prove our postulate as shown;

Given the expression;

5/18 = 5/4x+6

Find the LCM

5/18 = 5x/4
