increases at a rate of 1....so ur slope is 1
crosses the y axis at 3...so ur y intercept is 3

in slope intercept form, y = mx + b, the slope will be in the m position and the y intercept will be in the b position

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 1
y int (b) = 3
sub
y = 1x + 3...which can be written as y = x + 3 <=
