I believe that A would best state the main theme. It took Buck determination and perseverance to survive, so I would assume it would pay off. Hope this helps!

Answer: A. Perseverence pays off.

The Call of the Wild is an adventure novel by Jack London published in 1903. The main character of the novel is a sled god named Buck. The story is set in Yukon, Canada during the gold rush of the 1890s.

In the story, Buck lives in California, but he is stolen from his house and sold as a sled dog in Alaska. He becomes increasingly wild until he learns to dominate his environment and becomes a leader.

The book became very popular since its release, and has been adapted to film numerous times.
