The roman republic is what made Rome great, the roman empire was about its decline and fall, The roman empire was mostly ruled by emperors some were okay others would kill a lot of people, And the roman republic was about the citizens.

Hello,
The Roman republic and empire were in the same region(Rome). They both had an oligarchy as a form of a government since there was no switch in government when they went from republic to empire. Hope that helps!
