The changing role of women at home demonstrates that more women work outside home while men stay at home (Option D) due to the economic downturn in some societies during the last decades. The role of women has changed in the last years, since changes in the workforce shows that in 1950 only 34% of women worked outside the home while today is 60%. Traditionally, women were expected to stay at home in charge of doing the household but also taking care of their children. Now, more women are occupying jobs in the fields of teaching, health care, at law offices, science labs, the Congress as well as the Supreme Court among others. It is important to state that most women have two full-time jobs: one is at home while the other is at work. At the same time, more men who have lost their jobs and are unemployed due to recession, stay at home taking care of children and doing the chore.
