The sides of a composite cone volcane have FUMAROLES.
Fumaroles refers to an opening on or near a volcano through which hot gases are released into the environment. Fumaroles are usually found in active volcanoes most especially during period of rest before the next eruption. The gases released by the fumaroles include: carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen sulphide.
