Simplify the expression for x.

\begin{gathered} (x-5)/(x+8)=(2)/(7) \\ 7(x-5)=2(x+8) \\ 7x-35=2x+16 \\ 7x-2x=16+35 \\ 5x=51 \\ x=(51)/(5) \\ =10.2 \end{gathered}

So answer is 10.2.

Option B is correct.
