Republican government is the type of government that the Romans had. The people voted most of their leaders and government officials, and those individuals selected the rest. They contributed to democratic principles by making rules/laws/decrees that gave people the accountability to vote, keep an eye on laws, do panel duty, designate senators, pay taxes, have the judges discipline all people the same way, and permit people in the government to have the same power and to refuse others' concepts.
