If a box measures 1.2m by 3.4m by 0.50m, what is its volume in liter

Volume can be worked out by multiplying the width, length and height i.e.
1.2m * 3.4m * 0.5m = volume
2.04m^3 = volume

Now we need to convert that in liters
1 cubic meter = 1000 liters
So 2.04 cubic meters = 2040 liters

multiply the given dimensions by (100cm/1m) to convert it to centimeters

1.2(100cm/1m) = 120 cm
3.4(100cm/1m) = 340 cm
0.5(100cm/1m) = 50 cm

the volume of a box is equal to (length)(width)(height)

that is
V = (120cm)(340cm)(50cm)
V = (6000 cm^2)(340cm)
V = 2040000 cm^3

now 1 cm^3 is equal to one mL and 1000 mL is 1 Liter

V =2040000 mL multiply by (1 Liter/1000 mL)
V = 2040 L

That's 2,040 liters.

Hope this helps :)
