-4 times 3 and -4 times -5x will give you -12+20x which leaves you with -12+20x-4. You have to subtract the alike terms which is -12 and 4 so -12-4=-16 which means the final answer is 20x-16

Distribut the -4 first:
-12+20x-4x
Combine like terms:
-12+16x
and you are done
