I'm pretty sure the answer is 1 1/5 pounds. I divided 1/2 by 3/5 to get my answer. Remember, in order to divide fractions, multiply the first number by the second number's reciprocal.

Answer:

Lexi will use
(5)/(6) pounds of seeds.

Explanation:

Lexi has planted seeds in
(3)/(5) of the garden. We know that to plant that part she used
(1)/(2) pound of seeds.

The entire garden is
(5)/(5)=1.

Then if you multiply
(1)/(2) in
(5)/(5)=1 and then divide the result in
(3)/(5) you will obtain how many pounds will she use for the entire garden. (It's a rule of three)

(1).(1)/(2) :(3)/(5)=(1)/(2) :(3)/(5)=(5)/(2.3)=(5)/(6)

Lexi will use
(5)/(6) pounds of seeds.
