Keep in mind that "percent" means "for each 100." What the question is asking is: "If I have a certain amount for each of the hundreds in 300, what amount do I need for that total to be 0.6?"
Some things to ask yourself:
- How many hundreds are in 300?
- What do I need to multiply that number by to get 0.6?
