If there is a hypertonic solution in the large intestine, what is the consequence?

The answer to this question would be: Water will flow into the large intestine from the circulation and cause diarrhea
The Hypertonic solution will have a higher osmotic pressure than the cells. This will cause the water from the nearby cell is attracted to the solution, causing the nearby cell to shrink. The excess water might not be absorbed causing diarrhea.
