In ancient Greece, the philosopher Aristotle put forth the idea that all knowledge we have were accumulated memories which were gathered and collected from series of observations and linked by our mind into an experience, just like pictures from a certain movie. Every picture is connected to the next, following a sequence we have in our minds until we have a conclusion which is logical.
