In homologous recombination, the term "patch product" refers to

Homologous recombination refers to exchange of genetic material between homologous pair of DNA. Patch product and splice products are the results of homologous recombination. Patch product is formed in homologous recombination when the enzyme resolvase cuts the strand invasion of holiday junction.
Patch product refers to no crossing over (or non-cross over products) during homologous recombination.
