Volume of the square pyramid is given as,


V=(1)/(3)Bh

where,


\begin{gathered} B=\text{ area of the base.} \\ B=a^2 \\ B=15^2 \\ B=225in^2 \end{gathered}

So, the volume is,


\begin{gathered} V=(1)/(3)*225*12 \\ V=225*4 \\ V=900in^3\text{ } \end{gathered}
