8+(16)/4 (divide 16 and 4 first, PEMDAS)
8+4 (add these two together)

The answer is 12 because if you take 16 and plug it in for w, you would get 8+(16)/4. First, follow pemdas and divide 16 by 4. You should get 8+4. Finally, simplify and get the answer 12.
