The student's resume along with the letter of recommendation is very important when the process of college admission is concerned. Both of these documents help the selection board to know about the student's interests both inside and outside the college.

Step-by-step explanation:

The resume of a student is nothing but a clean representation of all the achievements of a student in various fields of academics, sports, etc. It proves to be a great help when applying for a college, it not only saves time in completing the application but also makes sure nothing is left behind.

On the other hand, a letter of recommendation is a document that helps the college know about qualities of student that are separate from the academics, such as the student's reputation among the teachers and staff. It can be an essential part of the resume. Therefore, we can say that both the resume and letter of recommendation are equally important.

Everybody wants to get into college but colleges can accept only so many students each year. Thus, the selection process is run based on students' resumes and letters of recommendation when only the best and the most deserving students are accepted.
