yes, rising in the east and setting in the west does not change only the amount of daylight hours change do to earths rotation and its hemispherical positioning.

During the winter, the sun does
not rise more than 16.56° above the horizon at midday, but during the summer, the sun rises 63.44°
above the
same
horizon
direction
.
