According to the principle of conservation of mass, the total mass in a system remains constant. Therefore, the total mass of reactants present will be equivalent to the total mass of products.

Mass of reactants = 3 + 2.5
Mass of reactants = 5.5

Therefore, the mass of product is 5.5 grams.
