News articles that give only one side of the story on a regular basis are examples of bias. This is because they are biased towards one opinion/side, which can often misinform the reader, making the reader also biased towards one side. It is not an example of vested interest, stereotype or manipulation of information because the action of taking one side is:
- not a personal reason for their situation
- not a set idea that people have
- and is also not giving wrong or twisted information.
It will be talking about one person's viewpoint, not considering another person's (often opposite) point of view.
