y varies inversely as x. this mean x time y = k. We can find x by setting up the equation.
k = xy
Now insert the number we know into the equation. We know y = 25 and k = 50
k = xy
50 = x25
50 = 25x
50 / 25 = 25x/ 25
2 = x
x = 2
