Industrialization in the early 1800s affected women since women began to work outside the home.

As a consequence of the impacts of the Industrial Revolution, women entered the workforce in textile mills and coal mines in large numbers. Women entered the workforce in an attempt to help support the family.

Prior to industrialisation, women used to have traditional work such as helping manage the affairs on the farm, making clothing or even repairing it and raising children at home.
