Greetings!

-(c-3)=6
Distribute the Parenthesis.

-c+3=6
Add -3 to both sides.

(-c+3)+(-3)=(6)+(-3)

-c=3
Divide both sides by -1.

(-c)/-1=(3)/-1

c=-3

Hope this helps.

Distribute the negative outside the parenthesis through the terms inside the parenthesis.

-c + 3 = 6

Subtract 3 from both sides.

-c = 3

Divide both sides by -1.

c = -3
