What is f(4) if f(x) = | 3x + 4 | - 2? Please show the steps too, thanks!

All you have to do is substitute x for 4.
Essentially, you'll end up with this: f(4) = | 3*4 + 4 | - 2
Step 1: | 12 + 4 | - 2
Step 2: | 16 | - 2
Step 3: | 14 | = 14
