Iana started to evaluate the function f(x) = 2x2 – 3x + 7 for the input value 2.

f(x) = 2(2)2 – 3(2) + 7

= 2(4) – 3(2) + 7

What is the value of the function when x = 2?

9
10
16
17

The answer is nine because 2(4)=8   3(2)=6   7=7, os 8-6+7= 2+7 =9

Answer:

f(2) = 9.

Explanation:

Given : f(x) = 2x² – 3x + 7.

To find : What is the value of the function when x = 2.

Solution : We have given that f(x) = 2x² – 3x + 7.

For, x = 2

f(2) = 2(2)² – 3(2) + 7.

f(2) = 2 *4 -6 +7

f(2) = 8 - 6 +7.

f(2) = 2 +7

f(2) = 9.

Therefore, f(2) = 9.
