Catalase is a common enzyme that is found in all living organisms and is responsible for the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into hydrogen and water.
To check and diagnose the deficiency of catalase, a test is performed by adding hydrogen peroxide to blood and if it will turn black-brown without foaming there is a deficiency of catalase.
