What is the result of factoring out the gcf from the expansion (24+36)?

Break down each of the numbers

24=2*2*2*3
36=2*2*3*3

As seen, 12(2x2x3) is the greatest common factor amongst the numbers.

12(2+3)=(24+36)

So the greatest common factor of 24 and 36 would be 12.

So you could say,
