We are asked to find the acceleration of the car:
Formula: s = 1/2 a t^2
20 = 1/2 a (4)^2
a = 40 / 16
a = 5 / 2 m/s^2
= 2.5 m/s^2
The acceleration of the car is 2.5 m/s^2
