Greetings!

Simplify.

1/5(40x^5+13x^3-3x-5)-(3x^5-5x^3+5x)
Distribute the Parenthesis.

8x^5+2.6x^3-0.6x-1-3x^5+5x^3-5x
Combine Like Terms.

8x^5-3x^5+2.6x^3+5x^3-0.6x-5x-1
The Answer Is:

5x^5+7.6x^3-5.6x-1

Hope this helps.
