Answer:

7 kilograms of carrots.

Explanation:

Jennifer's grandmother buys carrots at the farm stand.

The total weight of the carrots she buys = 28 kilograms

She and her 3 grandchildren equally shares the carrots.

The number of persons among carrots were distributed = 4 persons

To calculate how many kg of carrot each person will get =
\frac{\text{total weight of carrots}}{\text{total number of persons}}

They each will get =
(28)/(4)

= 7 kilograms.

Jennifer will get 7 kilograms of carrots.

Jennifer will get 7 kilograms of carrots.

To solve this, simply divide 28 by 4, which is the total number of people sharing the carrots altogether. You wouldn’t divide the number of carrots, 3, by 4, because that is additional info that is out there to throw you off track. Instead, to find the weight of the carrots that Jennifer would get, you would divide the total weight of the carrots by the people sharing them to get 7 kg.
