Penny uses 3/4 yard fabric for each pillow she makes. How many pillows can she make using 6 yards of fabric. Please show your work

Hello! To solve this problem, we have to do 6 / 3/4 (6/0.75). You do this, because you’re using 6 yards of fabric and you use 3/4 yards of fabric per pillow. If you know it, use the rule Keep, Change, Flip. Keep 6/1 the same. Change the division symbol into a multiplication symbol. Flip 3/4 over into 4/3. 6/1 * 4/3 = 24/3 or 8 when simplified. Penny can make 8 pillows using 6 yards of fabric.
