Density is how thick or solid and object is density is used to find the weight or mass of any object. How mass and volume are alike is because of density. Density is mass per volume unit so it helps you if you are finding the volume of a triangle or any shape when finding density of objects make sure you calculate the volume then make sure you calculate the density to help find the answer you are looking for.

Density is defined a mass per unit of volume. Volume is the amount of space that matter takes up and the mass of an object is the amount of matter that is in an object. so them two are alike because they are basically the same thing.
