Given

diameter - 2.4 cm

Height - 10.3 cm

Find

Volume

Step-by-step explanation

(a) Volume of water bottle =

\pi r^2h

radius = half of diameter = 2.4/2 = 1.2 cm

so ,

\begin{gathered} volume=\pi(1.2)^2*10.3 \\ =46.60cm^3 \end{gathered}

(b)

The volume of cylinder is also given by

Volume = Area of Base X height

In case of cylinder the base is a circle whose area is π r^2

That's why volume of a cylinder include π r^2.

Final Answer

V = 46.60 cubic cm
