The answer would be 2 & 1/2 hours. You would change 1 & 2/3 to an improper fraction (which would be 5/3) and add that to 5/6 (which would be 15/6). Then you would simplify the fraction and get 2 & 1/2.

Ron practice 2 1/2 hours altogether.
5/3+5/6=(5*6)
+(5*3)over 3*6=45/18=45/
9 over 18/9=5/2 or 2 1/2
