Proportional Relationship

Two variables x and y have a proportional relationship if:

y = kx

Where k is the constant of proportionality.

We are given k=1/2, thus:

y = 1/2 x

If we evaluate the four points, we have:

For x = 1:

y = 1/2 * 1 = 1/2

The point is (1,1/2)

The first point is correct.

Now we use x=1/2:

y = 1/2 * (1/2) = 1/4

The point is (1/2,1/4)

None of the points is correct.

Finally, we use x=2:

y = 1/2 *2= 1

The point is (2,1)

The last point is also correct.

Thus we have two answers:

(1,1/2) and (2,1)
