Given the equation:

y = 2x + 4

the y-intercept is found when x = 0.

y = 2(0) + 4

y = 4

and the x-intercept is found when y = 0.

0 = 2x + 4

-4 = 2x

-4/2 = x

-2 = x

Then, the x and y intercepts are (-2, 0) and (0,4)
